Just last month, the couple celebrated the impending birth of their second child at a Moroccan-themed baby shower hosted by actor Steven Weber and his wife, Juliette Hohnen, at their L.A. home."Brooke was simply glowing all evening," her friend, event planner Jo Gartin, who organized the fete, told PEOPLE.
Of her second go-around as an expectant mom, Shields told PEOPLE, "This pregnancy has been a lot easier."
The actress suffered from postpartum depression after the birth of her first child. She wrote a book on the subject, Down Came the Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression, and has spoken out about her use of antidepressants.
Last year she was famously criticized by Tom Cruise, who as a Scientologist opposes psychiatry and prescription medication to battle depression.
Let's hope she has it easier this time around, so she doesn't have to deal with the comments from Ms. Cruise. Do you think that Brooke and her husband kept the placenta to give to Tom and Katie as a gift once their little one is born?

Grier Hammond Henchy is like the ugliest baby name I've ever heard. Apple Martin may be odd, but at least it's not ugly. The poor kid doesn't even have a middle name that she can fall back on. Hammond is even worse!
People are gonna call her "Grier the queer" or something.
What could a possible cute nickname be: Gri-gri, Hammy, Hench, Gree.... There isn't one.

Brooke and her mother (Terri) use to sit right in front of me in Sunday mass (Roman Catholic) while growing up. This was at the time when she was on every magazine cover in the world. I credit her with getting my ass out of bed every Sunday morning. It was so exciting to have her turn around and shake my hand during that part of the mass. I loved her then, I love her now.
This is one woman who truly holds the title of W-O-M-A-N. She's smart, beautiful and has done everything on her own terms. Including her desire to maintain dignity at the cost of celebrity status.

For a good synopsis of life with Terry Shields- watch Kathy Griffin's 'Allegedly' on Bravo. She and Brooke are tight (from their show together) and she went to Brooke's wedding, whereupon Terry got plastered and embarassed the hell out of Brooke. Funny stories from Griffin- sad reality for Brooke. She and Chris just try to keep Terry at arm's length to have a normal life.
Congrats to Brooke, Chris and Rowan! Brooke is a kick ass woman and I wish her and her little family love and peace and happiness. (not very bitchy and gossipy, am I?)

I think it's great that she has another baby. She's one of the few celebs who deserves it! Congrats, Brooke.
And it's telling that when she was suffering PPD, she was probably STILL a better parent than Tom Cruise.
