Has Colin Farrell's post-rehab alleged bad behavior cost him a job? Or was it just a case of creative differences?
The 29-year-old Irishman has been replaced by Brokeback Mountain star Heath Ledger.Director Todd Haynes is said to have changed actors at the last minute. US columnist Roger Friedman said: "The reason for Farrell's departure is unknown."
Farrell, who left rehab in December, would have been one of six actors portraying Dylan. Ledger, Richard Gere, and Christian Bale will all play the singer in I'm Not There, which starts shooting this summer.
I'm not quite getting the concept of this film. Six actors are playing Dillon?

Actually, from what I hear, Colin is working hard and attending regular meetings to keep his new life on track and do the right thing. I think the decision for him NOT to do Dylan was an instance where he wasn't up to the stress and the disruption this would cause to his new regimen. A friend told me they would be shooting in Romania! That's REALLY bizarre!And the actors aren't playing Dylan. It's about understanding Dylan through his music.
