How the hell is Paris Hilton a gay Icon? How has she endured? Where is her comeback? Where is the struggle? Where is the great movie or album? Fashion sense? When has she ever been on the outside trying to get in only to make a place for herself? Paris Hilton is not a gay ICON.

I'm not 100% sure what a gay icon is (in terms of definition), but I can say with conviction that Paris doesn't deserve to be one.

Well truth be told. paris is NOT a gay icon.

Last year here in LA, they HATED her for being selected gay parade marshall. The controversy was so big that many sponsors & public dignitaries withdrew their appearance.

So we gays actually HATE her.

She can never be along the lines of Madonna, Cher, Better Midler, Streisand, etc.

And NO she is not currently or ever will be a gay icon.

i love paris she's a huge celebrity and whether you like her or not you're still here talking about her. As far as the icon thing maybe it's because she's a blonde sex symbol, shops every day and models couture and therefore is basically a living barbie doll.

If that's your definition of "icon," I'd hate to see what you think a legend or a hero is.

I am with las...not too sure what exactly a "gay icon" is (I think along the lines of Bette, Madonna, and Cher, as someone mentioned) but I also feel certain that Paris ISN'T one.

Being gay, i'm all for man on man love...but homo related magazines are total crap. The editor of OUT magazine needs to be dragged out into the streets of West Hollywood and bitch slapped with a lacey glove for besmirching the good names of gays everywhere.
