A proposed concert in Shanghai by rapper Jay-Z has been denied by the Chinese government. by the country's Ministry of Culture. The rapper was supposed to make his debut in China at Hongkou Football Stadium on Oct. 23, but the country's Ministry of Culture denied local promotional company KS Productions the needed permits. Government officials banned Jay-Z's performance because of the vulgar language contained on some of his recordings.However, it has been noted, The Black Eyed Pease, have successfully been able to perform in China, despite their racy lyrics. I guess Jay-Z should start using clumsier metaphors and/or completely made-up slang to express himself and he should be fine.

All I want to know is, when are Jay & Beyonce gonna take their asses down to New Orlean's 9th Ward? Real nice Jay Z, get water lines installed in Ghana, while 9th ward still has no electricity or running water. I hate when celebs do the fake African humanitarian publicity stunt but are too scared to go in their own backyard.
