Sir Paul McCartney must be money these days, and I am not talking about Vince Vaughn Swingers "Money". Apparently, Sir Paul has purchased tapes that allegedly contain explosive material about his marriage to his first wife Linda. Sir Paul apparently has paid 200,000 pounds (roughly $360,000) for the tapes in an attempt to withhold the information from the public and Heather Mills. Heather, McCartney's soon to be ex-wife, wants to use the tapes as part of her divorce claim that he was abusive towards her.
Sir Paul bought the tapes from literary agent Peter Cox, who made them with Linda when he was co-authoring her 1989 book Linda McCartney's Home Cooking. What kind of damming evidence can be on a bunch of tapes that are notes about "home cooking"? What did they have a brawl in the kitchen about while making tea and Linda confessed her soul to her literary agent? I doubt it Heather - give it up! The tapes were turned over to the former Beatle in a café and patrons said they over heard McCartney say that Heather wanted 80 million pounds (roughly $152 million) in the divorce settlement! Hopefully, Heather won't get her gold digging claws on that much money, but we will have to see.

Linda McCartney's tapes have no bearing on the current divorce proceedings. They certainly weren't meant for public consumption.
