Showbuzz reports that Isaiah Washington tried to refute claims that he was talking trash about his gay co-star but it came out kinda defensive and seems to have left everyone in the Golden Gobes press room thinking he's still cranky and not that sorry.
Clearly the most dramatic moment backstage with the cast and crew of "Grey's Anatomy" was when a question was asked regarding the widely publicized on-set fight between Isaiah Washington (Preston Burke) and Patrick Dempsey (Derek Shepherd).Washington blurted out, "No, I did not call T.R. (Knight, who plays George O'Malley) a faggot. It never happened." The crowd gasped, and the rest of the press briefing was spent watching Sandra Oh trying to keep Knight from bolting the platform as he clearly was miffed by the comment.
What the hell is he miffed about? Weren't there witnesses that he was tossing "faggot" around? And isn't there more than one report that he's kind of a powderkeg to work with? He seems like the kind of guy who would be upset that you're scared of him and hit you harder for it. I can't imagine why T.R. wouldn't do the Entertainment Weekly photoshoot with his crazy ass.

J. Harvey here. I'm obviously low-functioning. In the haste to get this post up and in my post-Golden Globes depression, I read this wrong and thought Washington was trying to bolt as opposed to T.R. Knight. Thanks to Eames for pointing that out. Thanks bitch! This makes two in two days. I'm thinking about cashing it in and going back to selling falafel on the mean streets. Damn. *red-faced*
Also, co-star Katherine Heigl had some shit to add about this whole mess. D-listed had the scoop.
Isiah's co-star Katherine Heigl didn't like his answer and said, "I'm going to be really honest right now, he needs to just not speak in public. Period. I'm sorry, that did not need to be said, I'm not okay with it. I have no idea what it was, I just find it hurtful...I just feel like this is something that should be very much in house we need to deal with and it's among us and the cast and crew and among Shonda [Rimes, show creator] and the producers."
He sounds like a real winner. I actually feel better about myself now for f*cking up that post.

Did you read your own posting? It was T.R. Knight that was miffed, and whom Sandra Oh worked to keep at the event and not bolt - not Washington. Knight has every right to be "miffed" - I'd be fucking pissed that loser Washington can keep throwing around the insult. Unless he's on the team, he shouldn't be using "faggot".
