The California Highway Patrol is recommending that Brandy be charged with vehicular manslaughter after investigating her involvement in a fatal car crash last month.
The California Highway Patrol recommended Monday that actress-singer Brandy be charged with misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in a freeway crash that killed a woman motorist last month, a city attorney's spokesman said."The office is currently reviewing the case and determining whether the evidence warrants the filing of a misdemeanor charge of vehicular manslaughter," Velasquez said.
Moesha better get her attorney on the horn, pronto. Now, I know it says "misdemeanor" vehicular manslaughter. But the whole "manslaughter" piece kinda overshadows the "misdemeanor". This sounds like some serious shit, nevertheless. This is almost as bad as her brother dating Whitney Houston. *shiver*

At the end of the day, because she wasn't paying attention while driving, someone paid for that with their life. Some poor kid doesn't have a parent, someone doesn't have a mate because she was preoccupied in traffic.
She might not have left her house with the intention of killing someone, but they're just as dead because she was too "busy" to drive.

Brandy had an accident.Possibly caused by vehicle malfunction on Brandy's car. The Highway police is charging her to look like they are doing something and a on top of things.

I totally agree that she should be changed w/, and found guilty of manslaughter. If it was one of my family members or friends who were killed it wouldn't matter to me who was driving the car that caused the accident. She should definitely not get off the hook for this just because she's a celeb. It's not murder or homicide, but there should still be consequesces.

the fact that someone died is terrible, accidents do happen. if she's charged, she'll have 20 of the best lawyers the church of scientology has on speed dial. there is no way she'll be found guilty. they'll take names of the entire courtroom and NO one will side against her. who needs nationwide when you have xenu on your side.

I allways cringe when I hear the words "vehicular manslaughter". I feel the term is WAY to regularly used to scare and blame some one who other wise just had an unfautunate accident. Yes there should be an investigation, yes some one should be held responcable, and being a celeb should not exempt you from that. However unless Brandy was roaring drunk, or otherwise off her face, then it should be considered nothing more than a terrible accident. One of the prices we pay for useing the deadly weapon with wheels we call the motor car, accidents happen. That does not make them any less tragic. I hope all those concerned will keep a sense of right and wrong, and the whole thing doesn't turn into a hunt for a scape goat. Anyone remember Rebecca Gayheart and the tragidy that befell her and the familly of the child she hit?? Fautunately the matter was resolved sensibly, though it was years before her carier recoved. Hopefully Brandy will not suffer the same problems.....
