Pinky Rose Boutique is a store that you just don't want to leave! Carrying a mix of local LA based designers packed into a medium-sized space at 5571 W. Pico Blvd, east of Fairfax and close to Little Ethiopia, Pinky Rose deserves at least an hour or two of your time. The store is decorated like your best girlfriend's apartment with pink furniture to match the pink walls as well as antique dressing tables and mirrors to display clothing and accessories. As far as price goes, Pinky Rose has unique t-shirts and tunics for as low as $20 and elegant, sexy dresses for as much as $185. There is a second room devoted only to sale items and is full of discount sandals, denim, accessories, and clothing at great prices.

More on Kate's explorations in Pinky Rose after the jump...

Pinky Marcia Charles, the store's owner, and her staff are personable and not afraid of fashion. Always talking, laughing, and listening to music, the staff really takes care of their customers. Pinky definitely has an eye for what looks good on different body types and always encourages her clients to try new things. I saw so many unique pieces and tried on about ten different things before settling on a great dress and some equally awesome gold jewelry. The dress was on the pricier side, but the jewelry very affordable: unique over-sized gold chandelier with purple polished rocks were only $15 and my hardcore gold chain bracelet set me back $20.

Pinky also carries the denim jeans that Oprah and her audience tested in styles such as skinny, boot-cut, and flare; I can't wait to go back for a pair of skinnies once they have my size. That is another thing, Pinky is great at keeping up with her client's requests! She keeps every single one of her clients in her computer, which is a great way to keep track of what people are buying. Essentially, it allows Pinky to buy for her clients.

Hanging out at Pinky Rose makes it seem as if there is always someone exceptional coming through the door. In fact, when I was there I met a wonderful designer named Ana Maria Faith, who was showing Pinky her one-of-a-kind jewelry and beautiful, hand-painted denim (both of which are soon to be in-store!). Although her items are expensive, they are, without a doubt, investment pieces that one will have forever.

Oh how I wish my small little city London Ont in Canada had this store. The dresses and accessories, EVERYTHING for that fact seems fabulous.

I've actually been to this store 3 times. The owner is completely unprofessional. The stuff is ok, but kind of reeks of "stylist". Like, everything is laid out (and priced) for people who dress other people. Also, as a side note, one of the times I went, I was with a friend who is a designer. The owner (Marcia is her name) told my friend she had forgotten her appointment, then she turned down the designs my friend had hauled in there and instead started trying to SELL things in the store to my friend! Unprofessional and she doesn't deserve any pimping.

Of course they put their best items behind the display window, but from the looks of these pics, inside the clothes seem just too 'regular'
meh. maybe you need to be there to judge..
(the store interior is so cute though!)
