For saving the world's children from Ritalin. Kidding. No, Tom was honored by Mentor LA, a nonprofit organization dedicated to revitalizing the schools and neighborhoods of some of the most disenfranchised communities in Los Angeles. Okay. So why was Tom honored? Well let me put it this way - the organization is chaired by Tom Cruise's producing partner Paula Wagner.
"Mentor LA is extremely fortunate to have such an extraordinary supporter in Tom Cruise", said MLA president Mike McGalliard, "We are very grateful to him for accepting this honor, and prviding us an opportunity to showcase Mentor LA's work to improve schools and empower neighborhoods in the most underserved areas of our city. Tom is not only a worldwide box-office superstar and an amazing actor; he is also a devoted humanitarian and philanthropist." "Our future on both a city-wide and a national level is dependent on educating and empowering the next generation," said Cruise, "LA's schools face tremendous obstacles. And, Mentor LAhas the right formula for success - it transforms public schools into great learning by bronging the best ideas, resources and innovations to schools that have the most need."

I think it's adorable that with all his responcibilites, Tom still has time to take his mother out on the town. And that face lift Mrs. Cruise got looks almost life like. So do the extentions. And the dress. Damn, where's the Soundtrack to 9-5 when you need one.

I never noticed Katie until now. Something is different about her looks. Watch the movie she did with Colin Farrell, "Phone Booth." When I saw her there, I thought she wasn't a very cute girl. She didn't look attractive. Has she had her nose done? She's quite attractive now.
