It's really no fun when people are upfront and honest. Mary Weiland, the wife of Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland, admitted that her weekend clothes-burning freakout was because her bipolar meds were off.
Mary Weiland, temperamental wife of rock star Scott Weiland, claims her bipolar disorder is mostly to blame for the couple's bloody fight at the Graciela Hotel in Burbank last weekend. In a statement to TMZ, Weiland says, "The weekend's difficulties were brought on by a reaction to an imbalance in medications used to treat my bipolar disorder... Scott was simply trying to help calm me down. I want to make it very clear that he did not hurt me in any way. For lack of a better expression, I was unstable and just lost it." Well, that clears things up!
Mary goes on to say that the Graciela has been paid for damage to the room. She also states that their children did not witness "any of these events." Mary adds that she has "a loving husband, drug-free for 3-1/2 years now, who is able to care for me during this challenging time."
Jesus, that must have been some freakout if there was blood on the linens, as reported. It's gotta be an interesting household if Dad is an ex-junkie and Mom is riding the bi-polar coaster. I smell a future tell-all in the bargain bin at Newbury Comics.

ANON says:
It's not very fair that you judge her for "riding the bipolar roller coster". Being bipolar myself, I can understand her "freaking" out. It's hard to control your emotions, even when your medication is controlled. Sometimes it's better to keep you comments under wraps, rather than riding the gossip coaster yourself.

Geezus ANON. He wasn't judging. Lighten up or stop reading these. It's not meant to be taken seriously.
MJK says:
It's sad really. They are a very disfuctional couple. She suffers from Bi-Polar, he suffers from addition. Look at Scott in the STP video Sour Girl and compair him to the Scott in VR's Fall to Pieces.
Hopefully they either work things out or walk away from each other before they end up like Sid and Nancy did...
B.S. Detector says:
Ah, so "Bi-Polar Disorder" is today's euphemism for "Stupid-Spoiled-Tempermental Brat".
Her bull-sh*t excuse is an insult to people who truly suffer from this disease.
Any another person who pulled this shizz and WASN'T married to a rich rock star would be cooling their bi-polar heels in county lock-up.
Jay, you're hilarious!
MissNee says:
Actually Scott is Bi-Polar too.

I myself prefer the older more feminine art of verbal degradation than physical fighting
