He's really getting in his own way. Michael Lohan issued a press release at a court appearance in which he spelled Lindsay's name wrong. You might want to get that right seeing as you've been fame-whoring off her for the past couple of years.
"I look forward to order being restored to the chaos that our family life has become. Lyndsay, Michael, Ali and Cody need stability and both of their parents in their lives. I am anxious to spend time with them and end this cruel, needless separation." -- Michael LohanI can understand how fame by association can seduce a person. I can understand becoming a Jesus freak when things take a turn for the worse. I can even understand beating someone in a driveway with a shoe. But know how to spell your kids' names, Captain It's All About Me. You're spent the past couple of years barreling your way into the spotlight because of her. At least know how to spell the title of your sperm donation.

Thought this story was pretty lame when I read it on TMZ this afternoon. Hard to believe people think it bears repeating.

My dad spells my name wrong all the time! My name is spelled Cera, and he always spells it, Sara. Even tho' he's a successful businessman, he never received much formal education. Brilliant guy, fast with numbers and money, can't spell worth a darn. In the 40s, they called it slow or dumb. I think they call it dyslexia these days.
Lindsay's dad's inability to spell her name correctly is not a reflection on his value as a father: it's says more about his education.
bdayguurl says:
and did you ever consider that maybe that's how her name is really spelled, and "Lindsay" is just the SAG/stage name? If there can't be more than 2 people registered with the same name, even if you were born with that name, hence Vanessa L. Williams (Ugly Betty) had to change her name because of Vanessa Williams (New Jack City). And why Vicica A. Fox added that A, even tho' it's not her middle name.
You don't really think "Tom Cruise" is his real name, do you?
PansyAston says:
Cera's daddy must have been puzzled by a spelling that I have never seen before, or maybe argued with her creative mother. Perhaps same thing with the Lohans? Lindsay is more traditional.
And, yes, it is Tom Cruise, just missing a little: Thomas Cruise Mapother IV. William Mapother of "Lost" is his cousin; hence, the slight resemblance.
Nicholas Hord says:
Leslie Taylor of Big Media wrote the press release but you instantly blame the man..
