A past plagued by drugs and alcohol has given Joaquin Phoenix a personal emotional inventory from which to draw when delivering emotionally raw performances, most notably, his Oscar-nominated turn as Johnny Cash. However, a recent breakdown during an interview, is now sparking rumors that Phoenix's sobriety is coming into question. Here, the actor can be seen leaving the aforementioned interview, looking very upset, and he's shown up at the Toronto Film Festival looking unkempt, adding fuel to the fire. In a different interview promoting his most recent film, "Reservation Road," he talked about how his Oscar nominations have affected his career and life.
"But, to be honest ... there is no effect on your real life. And if I said so in the past, I was probably only trying to get nominated."Oh, Joaquin. Bless your heart, you are looking old, dude. I had to IMDb you just to double-check your age. This is actually making me sad. I'm going to stop now.

hes hot but i like heels im 5'7 questionable but hes a vegan and that is a part of ones personality that would clash with mine to much i like cooking and shopping two seperate worlds and the environment which fur/leather alternatives screw up

Joaquin looks so unhappy. He needs someone, I believe, who will listen to him and understand him. He is extremely talented and very intelligent, but I think that he needs to resolve some of the things that happened in his past. Although he looks tough and is tough, behind the exterior is a sensitive, explosive man, who needs some deep love and understanding. I do not like what I see in these photographs. I am not saying that he needs a stylish. What I see is someone who might be engaging in self-destructive behavior. He is one of those rare talents that only appear every other decade. Joaquin, we love you brother. Take care of yourself. If anything were to happen to you, a lot of moviegoers, fans, and admirers will be terribly sad.

You would think after watching his brother (river) go through so much with drugs/alcohol and then die because of his addictions, that Joaquin wouldn't want to go that direction. I hope he gets help because he really does look much older here. Sad.
