Ben Stiller Gives Us An Owen Wilson Update

Do you think Ben Stiller's Mom looks at his wife and is like "shit, I used to be that young"? She should kidnap some virgins and bathe in their blood! I saw it in a movie. Anyway, Ben Stiller went on "Ellen" the other day and told Owen Wilson's lookalike that Owen's doing fine.

"He's doing really well," Stiller, 41, tells Ellen DeGeneres on her show Friday.

"I sort of like to protect his privacy, 'cause I feel like it's his own thing," says Stiller. "But he's a really good friend of mine. He's an incredible guy and I wish him as everybody does, all the best."

Owen had to drop out of a project that he and Ben were going to start shooting this week due to a suicide attempt. Matty McConaughey is taking his place. At the premiere of Ben's new flick, "The Heartbreak Kid", his dad Jerry Stiller had this to say about Owen.

"I know that he'll put his life together," the elder Stiller, who also costarred with Wilson in 2001's Zoolander, told PEOPLE. He added that his son has been "very close to Owen for most of their careers," and that Ben had been an "advocate" in "intervention and all that stuff."

So there WAS a drug issue involved. Way to out Owen as a junkie, Mr. Stiller. Old Hollywood people are great because they don't give a f*ck. They will tell you what's what. They're character actors and they can always get roles as grizzled grandparents or crazy old ladies. Or do dinner theatre in Florida. Everyone wants to see George Costanza's Dad.
