I'm annoyed because the source article for this one used "Crowe-overweight" as the headline. DAMN! I wish I had thought of that first. Here's some pics of various oldies at the premiere of "American Gangster", the new crime flick starring Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington. Supposedly Russell gained a lot of weight for his next film role. I can't even tell. Who can see past that greasy mop he's always sporting. Follow the drip. Why can't he always look like he did in "L.A. Confidential"? Ridley Scott is the director on "Body of Lies", Crowe's next flick.
"I've shot with Russell for the past five weeks. That's why he's so sturdy-looking at the moment," explained Scott."He's losing weight. He was 30 pounds overweight to do the part."
Look at these guys. Remember when everyone was young and vibrant? Mel Gibson still looks crazy as hell. Sober or not, he will snap on you. There is rage behind that smile. And you know he thinks the Holocaust was shot on a soundstage beside the moon landing one.

I just saw American Gangster, which was amazing. Russell didn't gain weight for that character, and certainly was not 30lbs heavier. He's not aging well, but he's gotten even better as an actor. I am still afraid of him and his telephone abusing ways. Has anyone started a telethon for phone abuse yet?

Russell Crowe is one beautiful man! Nobody wants a bag of man-bones. I mean, come on! And where's the grease? I see no grease. Yeah, he needs a haircut, but it looks clean to me. You're just scared of him! ;)
