Blackout sold an estimated 124,000 albums the first day of its release Tuesday and is set to become Spears' fifth consecutive number one album, according to Nielsen SoundScan data.The album is expected to bump Carrie Underwood's Carnival Ride and take the number one slot on the Billboard 200 chart, according to Billboard.
From what I can tell, the artist credit on this album should read "Various Highly Paid Producers" as opposed to "Britney Spears". But hey, at least she probably gave an ok or something. So she sorta did some work. "Yeah, this shit is hot, ya'll. I need this thumpa thumpa on my record. I want to make it sound like I'm drivin' a real hot car, with a backseat full of buckets of chicken and a hot guy beside me telling me what a princess I am. And there's some tigers, too! Because they are mystery! I hope they don't eat the chicken! Damn! Thass what it needs to sound like!" Congrats, Brit.

Nice sentiments, T-Bone, but there is something seriously wrong with this girl, and you KNOW she's not going to use her latest success as a "lesson." It's going to be quite the opposite. She's never going to get the help she so desperately needs if the money keeps rolling in and people keep kissing her ass. It will be more of the same crazy behavior and indifferent parenting until something really dreadful happens.
Now if her album bombed, and she no longer got the attention and publicity that she craves, then MAYBE she might wake up, just MAYBE. And even then I'm giving her more credit than she deserves.
