The People’s Choice Awards came and went with it’s usual glittery fanfare (sans Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt-–blasted!) in Los Angeles last night. Kate Hudson, winner of Favorite Female Actress was actually late–”stuck in traffic” (hm) for her presenting duties. Ellen DeGeneres, winner of Favorite Talk Show Host, gallantly stepped in saying that was “no way to sell a movie.” (touché Ellen!)
Both Will Smith and Carrie Underwood were double winners (she for Favorite Female Singer, Favorite Country Song, and he for Favorite Male Movie Star and Favorite Male Action Star).
While The Dark Knight won for Favorite Action Movie and Favorite Cast, Brad Pitt managed to swoop in and win Favorite Leading Man. Christian Bale, however, won two of the three awards he was nominated for, Favorite Superhero and Favorite On Screen Match Up, for his role with Heath Ledger.
