Braving the cool Southern California temperatures last night, many a star arrived on the red carpet at the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica. Being a much more laid-back affair than tonight’s Academy Awards, The Indie Spirit Awards allowed for attendees to be more whimsical with their outfit choices. While some nailed it (Eva Mendes, as always), others took the Indie attitude of “Hey! Wear whatever!” a bit too far.
