30 Rock Gets Renewed, Despite The Fact That No One Is Listening to Me

April 5th, 2007 // 6 Comments

“You have the boldness of a much younger woman.” Words to live by, my friends.

Yay! I love this show! And if you don’t, then the rest of this post is going to either be very infuriating or boring for you, so I suggest you not read any further. It looks like NBC is giving “30 Rock” another chance, despite less-than-impressive ratings. Luckily, it seems like executives at the ol’ Peacock are listening to critics, who have nothing but good things to say about the behind-the-scenes sketch comedy show starring Tina Fey.

Word that “30 Rock” was safe for next season came as the show prepared to move April 12 to a tough new time slot — at 9 p.m. EDT Thursday, putting it up against powerhouse dramas “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” on CBS and “Grey’s Anatomy” on ABC.

The NBC comedy, which has been on a break, was returning Thursday with a supersized episode airing at 8:40 p.m. EDT. A pointed satire about a “Saturday Night Live”-like show, “30 Rock” co-stars Tracy Morgan, Alec Baldwin and Jane Krakowski.

If you’re interested in checking out episodes online, you can find them here on NBC’s “30 Rock” page. Now that it looks like they have a chance for another season, I’m just hoping Tracy Morgan can keep from driving drunk, until the show builds enough momentum to gain a decent audience.

The Isabella Rossellini/Tina Fey encounter should be funny enough to keep the show on the air for the next 100 years. Especially if you compare it to Two and a Half Men, a show that I would have to flush twice then break up with a coat hanger and use the plunger on it’s such a huge piece of crap.
