There were free drinks at the reopening of a refurbished Tod’s boutique in Beverly Hills, but there must be free clothes for support somewhere in this bargain because the event brought lots of fashion-loving celebs out for the event.
While Gwen received some rave reviews for her silver dress, I’m going to have to disagree that white leggings and chunky cut out heels are flattering with the low hemline. A safe but flattering short draped purple dress and peep toe shoes were stunning on Kate Beckinsale, while Jessica Alba’s orthopedic looking booties where the straw that broke the too many over-sized pieces look.
Kate Bosworth donned the necessary black to slim down that figure (obvious kidding) while Halle Berry‘s tight jeans, sheer blouse, and layered necklaces didn’t raise her to the typical top of the list for me. Jordana Brewster…what is there to say about this Jolly Green Giant mess?
I love Marisa Tomei’s‘ simple black with snakeskin shoes, but I don’t think I’ll ever be the biggest fan of sack dresses so my prize for the night goes to Camilla Belle for a kaleidoscope print fitted frock with shaped shoulders and intricately detailed shoes and a low bun. Great mix of detailing and clean lines.
The event was hosted by Diego Della Valle and the reception was followed by a dinner at the Tower Bar to benefit the Museum of Contemporary Art.
