Adam Brody Enters the Land of Women

Yes, the former star of “The O.C.” has moved on from Rachel Bilson. He’s now taking on Meg Ryan. On film at least. Adam stars in the new romantic comedy “In the Land of Women,” which that co-stars Meg Ryan and Kristen Stewart.

Brody, who made the Jonathan Kasden film almost two years ago, admitted earlier to a group of reporters that he’s still adjusting to not having a steady job, unemployed since “The O.C.” aired its last episode in late February.

“There is something to the steady job, it’s nice,” he said. “Even if it can be a drag or doesn’t feel artistically satisfying there is something nice about stability. As much as you bitch about your job there is some security knowing it is there. When you do take it away it is definitely a different feeling.

“But I certainly don’t miss it, not when I am sitting in my backyard on Monday morning thinking, ‘Wow, I could be in the Cohen kitchen for six hours right now!’ It’s really fun actually, I enjoy the routine. The routine of Sunday routine, just doing it Monday through Friday.”

While Adam doesn’t have any other projects lined up right now he wants to do something big. “I would love to figure out a way to be in a movie that is kind of big,” he laughed. “When I say big I mean explosions!”

I’m I crazy or does that poster behind him have a very subliminal-phallic look going on?
