The woman who first made it cool to adopt children from impoverished nations, is looking to adopt her next child–this time, from an Indian orphanage. Details about Angelina’s pending adoption from the The Daily Mail:
Angelina Jolie is adopting an Indian baby to add to her growing international brood, according to US reports. Sources say the big-hearted actress and partner Brad Pitt have already applied to adopt a tot from an Indian orphanage. An insider said: “They hope to be able to bring the child home by Christmas. “Brad would prefer a boy no older than 18 months to even out the sexes but Angie has told him she can’t guarantee she won’t fall in love with a little girl.”
The thing that I can’t help but love about Angelina despite myself is that no matter what, she puts her money where her mouth is. That beautiful, pillowy concoction she calls a mouth.

I DO think Brangelina should concentrate on raising the kids they already have, and stop this “hoarding” behavior. Mia Farrow already cornered the market on obsessively adopting kids.
And having a parade of Nanny’s or Manny’s raise your kids is NOT the answer.
All kidding aside, as a mom to 3 young boys, raising children is a full-time job that requires mental, emotional and spriritual dedication! These are “HUMAN BEINGS” these celeb’s are “aquiring”, NOT Oscar’s! And being an adoptee myself, the fact that I was given a better life than the one I would have had, is beside the point. Raising a child takes good old fashioned HARD work 24/7!!
As much as I love our children, there are times when I am overwhelmed with trying to meet the needs for each of them! I don’t understand how these celebrities can possibly meet those needs when they are off filming movies and jetting off all over the place?! (And this has nothing to do with the nannies and full-time help, although I’m sure that makes it much easier) My point is, aside from the fact that it is a wonderful thing to take a child that has no future and then to be be to give them that, well that is an obvious blessing. And it seems that ‘Brangelina’ are genuine in their quest to save these poor kids from an otherwise destitute life, but why the frenzy to adopt child after child after child!? It’s a noble cause, one I personally benefited from, but stop and spend time to get to REALLY know the children you DO have!
She should fast forward about 10 years and contemplate what it will be like with multicultural teenagers searching for their “real identity” and rebelling against the white oppressor before she takes on any more children. The little ones are always cute.
