Tim Burton’s 3D remake of Alice in Wonderland is breaking records. The movie is the biggest non-summer movie opening ever (surpassing 2004′s Passion of the Christ) and has dethroned Avatar, taking the biggest 3D opening of all time title. It’s no surprise that Alice is number one for the second weekend in a row.
“Director Tim Burton’s 3D remake of “Alice” led
the field for a second weekend after earning $138 million during the
three days beginning on Friday,” said distributor Walt Disney Co. according to Reuters.
I guess Johnny Depp had an idea of how well this film would do when pictured at the Royal World Premiere of Alice In Wonderland
held at the Odeon Leicester Square. London, UK on Feb. 25. He was all smiles!
Alice trumped the competition: Green Zone opened at a distant No. 2 in North
America with $14.5 million; She’s Out of My League opened at No. 3 with $9.6 million; and the
romantic drama Remember Me came in at No. 4 with $8.3 million.
If Robert Pattinson wants to have a career anything like Depp’s, he has to pull in those numbers! Twilight fans, to the box office!

Matt Damon's Mom | March 15, 2010 at 12:32 pm
Who is silly enough to pay 12 bucks to go see an anti-American movie? Matt Damon is just a puppet for Universal, who’s owned by puppetmaster G.E.
I will not only avoid any future Matt Damon movies, I won’t buy G.E. either. I bought my new Whirlpool waterheater this weekend at Lowes, just to avoid the G.E. waterheater at Home Depot. Don’t just boycott the puppet, boycott the puppetmaster too!
