Amanda Seyfried is back at it again, defending her new film Red Riding Hood to OK! Magazine and MTV News, and how it is nothing like Twilight.
“It’s a bummer that that’s what’s happening,” said Seyfried of the comparison, adding that she doesn’t like it when “an audience has [certain] expectations.”

Hey, the film just happens to be directed by Catherine Hardwicke, director of the first Twilight. It just happens to co-star Billy Burke as the father figure in this film, too. And the hot male love interest just happened to audition for the role of Edward Cullen before losing out to Robert Pattinson.
Those are just coincidences, right? Watch her stumble over the rationalization in the video after the jump!
At least the cast can laugh about it. “We’d make jokes about [Hardwicke] calling us Kristen and Rob and Taylor,” said Seyfried.
Unlike Kristen Stewart, who usually appears distressed, at least Seyfried smiles — as awkward as it might look sometimes.
With the Red Riding Hood premiere last Tues. behind her and the debut of the film this weekend, Seyfried can finally take some time to herself, run errands (as seen here dropping her car off at Eli’s Auto Center in Los Angeles Mar. 8) and hang out with her recently confirmed boyfriend, Ryan Phillippe.
