Amanda Peet Gets Hitched

October 2nd, 2006 // 1 Comment

First comes pregnancy and then comes marriage. That’s the route that Amanda Peet has taken. The actress married her longtime boyfriend David Benioff over the weekend. This was two weeks after announcing that they were expecting their first child together. The ceremony took place at the Friends Seminary, a Quaker school and the actress’ alma mater. Guests included Mark Ruffalo and Elizabeth Berkley with their respective spouses.

“It was beautiful,” Ruffalo told People of the nuptials.

Peet wore a strapless white dress with a black sash and carried a bouquet of roses, according to Us and was “glowing,” Ruffalo told the magazine, even though she’s four months’ pregnant.

Which must have come as a relief to Peet, who fretted about her burgeoning belly during her Late Show appearance.

“Aaron Sorkin is convinced I have a five-year-old in here or twins or something,” she said. “All they do is call me fatty and whenever I’m not on set they’re like, ‘Check craft services–she’s probably over stuffing herself again.’ “

Candid camera on the T
A company of pests promises to reward people who post on the Web smart-phone photos of hunkly dudes on MBTA trains. (The T says it has no authority to prevent this, since anyone can take pictures on public property. It’s probably correct, alas.)

If the pregnancy then marriage route is good enough for Gwyneth, then by god it is good enough for us all.
