‘American Idol’ Wild-Card Contestants Get Second Chance

March 5th, 2009 // 2 Comments

It was the judges who decided which 8 American Idol contestants would get an opportunity to compete for another round tonight as Wild Card selections. Last night (Wednesday), judge Simon Cowell explained why it was up to him, Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Kara DioGuardi to make the call.

“Certain people we think made stupid song choices, or they were just in a tough group, so we totally, totally support this system,” the often hard-nippled judge explained.

Those lucky eight ended up being Anoop Desai, Jesse Langseth, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy Corkery, Rick Braddy, Jasmine Murray, Tatiana Del Toro and Von Smith. Don’t squander it, kids.
