Amy Winehouse Checks Out NYC Looking Gaunt as Hell

May 11th, 2007 // 4 Comments

Now, let me start off by saying that I’m a complete fool for Amy Winehouse at the moment. I revel in every little morsel about her personal life, and have been listening to her album non-stop so much so that I suspect my boyfriend is plotting an intervention to forcibly remove her CD from my car stereo. But her personal life–although titillating–makes me a little concerned for her welfare. I’m all about heartache that causes her to write some more tunes for me to wail along with, but she and her fiance, Blake Civil-Fielder, strike me as a bit too Sid and Nancy. I mean, for serious, these two have about the same amount of fat on them combined as about a half a stick of butter. Girl, you’re making me nervous. Also, this first pic scares me a little. I hope it’s cause she’s singing and not cause signing autographs makes her despondent. If so, then it’s worse than I initially suspected. But, if it’s any consolation, she’s up for three British music honors, called the Mojo Awards, making me wish someone would validate my mojo.

The girl has problems. She needs to come correct before she really damages herself irreparably. Overdoses are NO fun, I assure you.

To her credit, though, she’s a truly tormented and talented artist…not like that dweeb from Keane or certain jerkwad rich kids who buy their way to dubious fame.
