Amy Winehouse would like you to know that she has no issue laying the smack down when it comes to her hubby getting out of line. Or just when he’s looking at her funny. Or breathing in a suspicious manner.
“I’ll beat up Blake when I’m drunk. I don’t think I have ever bruised him, but I do have my way. If he says one thing I don’t like then I’ll chin him.”
I’d say that I was worried that she’d probably bust his skull wide open, seeing as how he looks about as sturdy as a toothpick, but luckily, she herself is probably packing about as much strength as one of those pool noodles. But at least she’s managed to get her act together long enough to deliver a really rousing performance at the Institute of Contemporary Arts as part of the iTunes Festival on Wednesday, in stark contrast to her recent spitting-at-fans episode.
Her tiny physique clad in a black and white vintage dress the straps of which fell down repeatedly throughout the show, Winehouse achieved instant forgiveness for her poor timekeeping as soon as she opened her mouth.
To sing…not to spit. Amy, honey, if you would just use it properly, we could always get along. Well, at least this girl knows well enough not to get behind the wheel of a car. Have I said that before? Whatever, I can’t say it enough.
