Pretty in Pink star, Andrew McCarthy, knows a little something about being a teen heartthrob. So, who better than the 47-year-old former Brat Pack member to direct an episode of the CW tween drama, Gossip Girl?

Currently, the stars appear to be freezing their rear ends off during filming, with Jessica Szohr bundling up in a big, black coat and Ugg boots in between shooting scenes. But Taylor Momsen appears to be immune to the cold as she steps out looking too cool for school in a short skirt and dark sunglasses.

Andrew echoes that sentiment by telling People magazine, “They are much more savvy than we were. We were just a bunch of dumb kids running around.” As for what details McCarthy can reveal about storyline, the director hints, “I can’t give you much. Except, there is a 9 1/2 Weeks kind of thing going on in one story line.”

Sounds sexy. And potentially exhausting.
