Here’s Andy Roddick doing the red carpet at a Hamptons Magazine event earlier in the week at Tenjune in NYC. The young tennis star was hosting the event and I’m by no means a proponent of fake-tanner on men (I’m not so much into the metro guys), but it does look like Andy’s been avoiding the sun a little too much lately. I’m not saying that he looks a little corpse-like, except that I totally am. Maybe someone can reach over an pinch his cheeks. In any case, he looks happy and he should be because it looks like he might be finding himself facing off with Roger Federer in this year’s final Grand Slam of the season. Do you like how I threw that tennis knowledge in there? Actually, I have none. I totally just read it here and honestly, am pretty sure I have no idea what it means.

Andy does wear a lot of sun block when he’s playing. He probably doesn’t tan, just turns red. I love him anyway but he’ll never beat Roger!!!
Maybe he just doesn’t want to look like a wrinkled up, dried out raisin by the time he’s 30 (or however the hell old he is). I know that “brown & tan” is big in CA, but to many of the rest of us, it just means looking A LOT older than you are!!! Sun damage can age you by 15 to 20 years older than you really are. Believe it!!!
