A last-minute cancellation of Angelina Jolie’s planned visit to the Czech senate has left that legal body disappointed. Both Brad Pitt and Angelina had hoped to have a chance to sit down with the group to talk about both their careers, as well as their humanitarian efforts. However, it was specifically Angie and Brad’s careers/humanitarian efforts that got in the way of that meeting, and the two actors were forced to call off the rendezvous.

Senator Nadvornik says, “My colleagues are very sad about the lost opportunity, they were looking forward to it so much.

“We intended to hold the event in the beautiful Wallenstein Palace and meant to chat about theatre, film and also charity, for we are aware of Ms. Jolie’s involvement in the subject.”

To try and lessen the sting of the cancellation, Brad Pitt extended an invitation to Nadvornik to join he and Jolie in Prague at the wrap party for the filmed she just finished filming while in Prague. I imagine having to inform all of these politicians that Angie wasn’t going to show up, probably went a lot like having to explain to Timmy that I’m sorry, there really isn’t a Santa Claus. It’s always heartbreaking and rather poignant when a senator loses his or her innocence like that.
