Angelina Jolie may be going high fashion. The actress is in talks to star in Ridley Scott‘s Gucci, which will center around the wild and glamorous story of the Gucci family in the 1970s and ’80s, when its 153 shops moved $500 million in product annually.
Angelina Jolie would play Jolie would play Patrizia Reggiano, who was sentenced to 29 years in jail for plotting the murder of her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci.
20th Century Fox is eying a 2010 start for the film. Scott has reportedly approached Leonardo DiCaprio for the role of Maurizio, but he is not signed at this point.
That would be some powerhouse casting.

Great part for AJ but why not cast a European actor for the male lead? There are many really talented and hot ones who could do the role as good or better than LD (no offense)…maybe then it could avoid being Oprah’ized for the mini-van and middle America and we wouldnt have to hear Ms. O yelling at Leonardo to…go get your Oscar! Ugh…
