Angelina Jolie’s Hope For Iraq’s Future

July 24th, 2009 // Leave a Comment

Angelina Jolie was almost moved to tears by the sights and sounds of Iraqi refugees with whom she conversed during her recent visit to the Abu Ghraib neighborhood.

This is her third trip to the area and the Changeling star left behind her massive brood to meet with displaced families and discuss the issues they’re currently facing. Jolie told them, “I want to come back and find you in a better place and in a different situation.”

“We hope that the (UN’s refugee agency) and the government will support you in getting a piece of land. You need help not because you are poor, but because you are the future of Iraq,” Angelina said in her role as Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations.

But now, Angie’s arrived back in the Heathrow airport. Time to solve the mystery of the missing dresses!
