Starpulse reports that Angelina feels the leader of the free world gives Americans a bad name.
Angelina Jolie has hit out at President George W. Bush, accusing him of turning the world against America. Jolie, who spends much of her time traveling the world helping the poor as an ambassador for the United Nations, insists her work has become harder since Bush was re-elected – because no-one she meets can understand why Americans voted for him.
She says, “When I travel, people feel uncomfortable when I say I’m American. They think it’s suspicious that I want to do something positive for them. I think they wonder why the American people re-elected a President who is making foreign policy choices that are affecting other countries in a way that we should question.”
Considering the drubbing I took for being a “liberal queen” the last time I ventured a political opinion, I’m going to stay mum on this one. But Angie better not mind her mail being opened without her consent in the future. I’m just sayin’!

I travel many times a year for business. I have absolutely no trouble. The people are very kind also.
Angelina needs to go cut herself some more. maybe go do a little more heroin with marilyn manson. maybe carry billy bobs vial of blood around a little more. hey, how about dry humping billy bob on the oscars red carpet. Maybe play tonsil tag with her brother. such the person we need to hear from. what a whore? now she is going to spread her nasty cunt around new orleans.
who cares what this bitch has to say. she has to be the worst mother in the world. I feel for her kids.
first of all: i love americans, your boldness is unique.
however, the only people in this world that don’t know the real reason behind 9/11 are the hateful bush’s americans. the rest of the world understands that the pushiness of the u.s. in world politics is the real reason.
regarding the countrys of the middle-east: everyone is sick and tired of american tyranny over the oil. these people should be left alone with their resources to dispose of as they please.
i’m icelandic. we are extremely peaceful. we don’t have an army, cops don’t carry guns. there was a u.s. base here after WWII ended but it was a complete waste of money and time, so they left. we are educated and worldly. we travel, study and live abroad if we want to. we don’t hate anyone.
i do not agree with everything my governmet does, but i do not have to fear the hate of my fellow citizens because of it. i feel bad for the enlightend people of america, they truly live in a diffucult time.
love & respect
p.s. to be conservative is not something to be proud of – it is what holds back evolution and change. this is not a secret, the extremely religious are the only ones left in the dark.
Of course Iceland is peaceful with no army, America has done the heavy lifting for the Western world since WWII. Under our guns, Europe has provided butter for its people. With our money, we rebuilt the Continent. You have peace because my grandfather came over there and defeated Hitler, then kept the USSR from conquering the rest of Europe.
One can be peaceful when they are being protected from cradle to grave by another country. Don’t like our policies? Then pay us back and pay your own way.
As for the Middle East, controlling their own oil would be a nice goal, however killing women rape victims and hanging gay people seem to be more important to them. See Iran for this.
Europe is dying off because their non-religious views is causing them to not have babies. When the welfare state starts to fall apart, then the European blood will start to run again. See 4000 years of history. Then you will be begging America to come bail you out again. And we will, because we are America. And 60 years later, it will be forgotten in an orgy of self-righteous anti-Americanism. Again.
NDMNTX is right on. I don’t see why anyone should care what these celebrities say/think – just goes to show their bloated egos; somehow they are confusing “actor” with “politician”
to stormy70:
the u.s. didn’t take part in WWII until pearl harbour. it was a question of us og them. of course we are very grateful but it’s been 60 years and i think it’s time we move on because we have new problems do deal with because of everything else.
i should also mention that communism was never a threat to us and it wasn’t beacause of the u.s. troops. it was because there is a great differene between the culture, language and politics of eastern, western and southern europe. we are not one country. europe is a lot more diverse than americans tend to think. (i have lived in the states – therefore i know)
about the social issues of the middle-east: yes, they are horrifying. i just don’t think war will fix anything. rather than spending money on war why not spend it on education and aid for the people in need instead of antagonizing them by taking over their countries and ruining their land. why not teach people to love instead of hate – maybe you consider that hippie-ish or non-religious of me, i just think it’s a better way to live.
i do not consider it help when someone pushes me across a street, i’d rather be walked in a friendly manner.
we owe you nothing for the former presence of your base here. the u.s. government wanted the army to be here.
i really don’t know what you’re talking about when you say we’re not having children. the population is rising in europe, regardless of what you think.
once more. i’m glad i live in a country where i can critizie whatever i choose without being judged by fearful people like yourself. i don’t understand why you harbor so much anger, i just don’t.
i hope everything works out for you.
with love & respect,
from the free world.
Fearful? Angry? No, just engaging in a healthy debate with someone who has to project their stereotypes onto others.
As for the population decline, it is happening and they are starting campaigns on encouraging women to have children again in places like Germany and France. The BBC and World Population Center have both run specials on the graying of Europe.
It is hard to teach radical Muslims how to love when they hate the feminine side of their population. Their mistake was attacking America, and we defended ourselves and got them fighting in the Middle East. The Muslim countries incubated this movement, now they can deal with it on their doorsteps. Harsh, cold? It is reality. They started this war by attacking us, and we fight back. Stability under Saddam was not peace, but oppression. Iraq is a strategic place to have troops in the middle east, and Iran, a prime sponsor of terrorism is surrounded. Military tactics, 101.
Iceland is not a communist country because communism was defeated. It wasn’t a choice you made. The USSR was stopped from overrunning Europe. It is easy to spout platitudes of peace when your population isn’t being targeted for death. The fall of communism was less than 20 years ago, but the passage of time makes it easy to forget how oppressive communism was for Eastern Europe. I still don’t think Europe should be lecturing America on anything, ever again. They don’t have to even pay for their defense, because we do it for them.
I like Iceland, but until they anti up in the Great Game, I will not listen to their views. Why should I?
but still – if your spending money, why fight when you can teach?
one more time: there was never a communist threat in europe southern and western europe, never. the only threat was a nuclearwar between the ussr and the us. the cold war was a cockfight between the two countries and the rest of the world had to tolerate it. i remember those time pretty well. i also remember that the communist countries were WAY to poor to engage in any kind of overrunning. you’ve been fed lies by your government. communism was used by people like reagan to put more fear in the hearts of americans.
the world is a lot different than you think my friend.
yes and by the way. 9/11 was a counter attack. everyone knows.
Yeah, Stalin’s army just stopped arbitrarily. 9/11 a counterattack? (Backing away from the mental patient, slowly).
It all becomes clear that I am dealing with someone who knows the special truth that only a few know. Right.
I can’t argue with the Icelandic version of a truther moonbat, since I would be attacking your truther religion. I don’t befriend mental types.
I can’t stand Whorelina, I think she is a slut/homewrecker…I never thought she would say anything that I could agree with her on..but I have to agree on her view of George W…I think he is one of the dumbest presidents we have ever had….
Icequeen: I’m just AMAZED that someone could say “there was never a communist threat in europe southern and western europe, never. the only threat was a nuclearwar between the ussr and the us. the cold war was a cockfight between the two countries and the rest of the world had to tolerate it.”
WHAT THE HELL WAS WORLD WAR II?????
Hitler was not a communist? Stalin? Mussolini? If there was never a threat of communism, why was there a war???? HOW do you explain the deaths of 60 MILLION people in 70 nations around the world???
Tolerance is what got Europe into WWII.
And NOW, tolerance is the breeding ground for these FANATIC Muslim terrorist cells. (note I said FANATIC, because 99.99% of the worlds Muslims are kind, peace loving people, and just as opposed to this violence as the rest of the world). Shall you now deny that these terrorist cells exist? Several countries in Europe are home to these terrorist cells: Germany, Spain, France, UK, yes, we even have them in the USA. Do you deny the terrorist cells? Telll that to the 270 souls, the passengers of Pan Am Flight 103, and the people on the ground that blew up over Lockerbie, Scotland. Tell that to the 191 dead and 2050 injured in the 2004 Madrid train bombings, or the 52 blown to bits in London. Not to mention the 202 also blown to bits in a Bali nightclub.
These people, these fanatics do NOT understand reason or knowledge. “Teaching” only gives them more time to carry out their plotting, violence and random murders. These people only understand violence and killing and NOTHING but a heavy, strong hand will prevent them from trespassing on US soil. Thank God Mr. Bush had the balls to say “not in my country”.
I was in Espoo, Finland 5 years ago. I was aghast when a woman said to me: “but if we are alright here in Finland, then why should we care about what happens in another country”. BECAUSE HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF. It’s the greatest divinity to forgive, but never forget, lest you repeat the same mistakes. And sooner or later…… It’s going to come knocking at YOUR door.
Icequeen, I’m sorry, but you are hiding your head in the sand. Iceland is a utopia, and frankly, you owe that utopia to the USA. If Hitler had succeeded in Europe, Australia, the South Pacific, do you really think he’d have forgotten Iceland. No. It just was not at the top of his list. I know nothing about military strategy, but I think it’s safe to say “vanquish the powerful, the weak will fall easily”. And I’m only saying that because Iceland is a small country…….. Without military. And to whom will you turn when your utopia is threatened? The USA. And we’ll come bail your ass out again.
The passage of 60 years does NOT merit forgetting the past. 300,000 of Americans died protecting the USA, and protecting 70 countries around the world. And yes, you’re right, the US didn’t enter WWII until Pearl Harbour. And obviously, remembering the early morning surprise bombling of Pearl Harbour, we did not enter willingly, we were pulled in. But the USA sent nearly 300,000 of our best around the world that never came home. I’ve searched for the number of Icelandic lives lost, and I can not find a numeration.
The US rebuilt Europe, just like we will rebuild Iraq and several other countries over there. Just like we’re currently building countries in the Middle East. I know, because the company I work for is selling our product there, rebuilding the infrastructure.
It would be another utopia, a worldwide utopia if we all lived in peace. If we could avoid conflicts and war by simply sitting down and talking, by “teaching”. But those views are so, so, so, “idealistic”…. Not at all reality.
You can say our media is feeding us lies. Say whatever you want. But you can not refute fact and history. And, you know to whom your country will ultimately turn when your human liberties and freedoms are threatened. And once again, just like the rest of Europe, the small and weak, (Serbia / Yugoslavia, Iraq) the US will step in to save lives because The United Nations would rather talk, teach, negotiate, allow hundreds of thousands to be murdered, raped and tortured, to continue to throw money at a ruthless dictator than have the balls to step up and just take care of the problem.
GOD I LOVE MY COUNTRY!!!
Icequeen, I’m sorry, but you are hiding your head in the sand. Iceland is a utopia, and frankly, you owe that utopia to the USA. If Hitler had succeeded in Europe, Australia, the South Pacific, do you really think he’d have forgotten Zelda:
“Iceland. No. It just was not at the top of his list. I know nothing about military strategy, but I think it’s safe to say “vanquish the powerful, the weak will fall easily”. And I’m only saying that because Iceland is a small country…….. Without military. And to whom will you turn when your utopia is threatened? The USA. And we’ll come bail your ass out again.”
DAMN STRAIGHT!!! :)
ICEQUEEN:
While I respect your opinion, You should be a little more knowledgeable about the situation in your own country before you go preaching…
“i’m icelandic. we are extremely peaceful. we don’t have an army, cops don’t carry guns. there was a u.s. base here after WWII ended but it was a complete waste of money and time, so they left. we are educated and worldly. we travel, study and live abroad if we want to. we don’t hate anyone.”
There has been, and still remains, an Joint Military base in Iceland (since 1941.) It’s called NAS Keflavik. The number of U.S. troops stationed has been reduced over the past couple of years but thousands of our people are still in place; and they appear to be wasting their time in your country since you are all so perfect, worldy and peaceful. The only reason we are stil in your coutry is because after we planned to remove our interceptors in 2003 YOUR COUNTRY OBJECTED! We worked out a new deal, agreeing to leave out assets in place until the end of last year since your government wanted/needed the time to replace our assets and personnel with those of the Icelandic Coast Guard.
The reason you don’t have an army is because an army is pointless for an island of that size. If you ever have to fight a ground was on your own territory you have already lost.
It’s quite naive and shows us what a delusional idealist you are when you state that “we travel, study and live abroad if we want to. we don’t hate anyone.” Umm… Americans also travel, study abroad, and live abroad. So, how does that make you a superior culture? I highly douth that no one in your country hates anyone. It’s just not possible.
It’s quite commendable for you to be so proud of your country and voice your opinions, just please don’t make things up.
your comments are strange. hitler was certainly not a communist. he was a nazi, mussolini was a fasist and, belive it or not, america, england, france and the ussr worked together to end the war. one of the main reasons the war was won was the battle of stalingrad. look it up on wikipedia. the us didn’t have a problem with communism until after the war. what you will find out if you read about the war is that hitler and stalin had a peace deal in the early stages of the war but hitler betrayed stalin thus lost the war eventually. when the war ended us and ussr troops divided ruined europe. ussr dealt with the eastern hitler had conquered, u.s. dealt with western europe. two treaties were made, the separation of europe started and so on, and so on – STUDY HISTORY!
i do not represent the nation of iceland. i only represent myself. the government didn’t want the army to leave but many disagreed. they patheticly tried to talk the u.s. troops to stay but they are gone. everyone’s left. there may be 10-30 people here to deal with it but that’s it.
my government supported the iraq-invasion. i did not. i’m embarrased of my government, they only think about money and how to asskiss the u.s. gov. a little bit more. they have no pride. true saddam was horrible, but so is bush. how come some countries get to own the very popular weapons of mass destruction but others can’t?
jane smith: i am pretty knowledgeable about these things i just didn’t think i needed to state the obvious. it pleases me that you take the time to learn about our situation. most americans don’t even know where my country is.
i have lived on the mainland of europe as well as the states, i realize that iceland is a utopian country and it’s pretty cool than your car is always where you left it and so on… i really like the states also and i think it was cool how the nations worked together during WWII. it doesn’t change the fact that you need to loosen up and stop warfare around the world. remember viet-nam? you have your own problems to deal with – domestic politics is almost an unknown term now. i’ve seen the misery of your citizens and it makes me sad because the u.s. is indeed a great country and i love americans. really nice people – just with a crappy government and distorted media power. americans didn’t ask for this, you have the electoral college, you are being played. and i’m really sorry about that.
I voted for John Kerry before I voted against him.
Before we take this nut’s word as fact, let’s remember that she used to carry a vial of her ex-husband’s blood around with her. If you think such a person has either a grip on reality or a clear view of things, you can join her at the asylum.
Jacki, I didn’t mention freedom at all…you must have me confused with someone else.
jacki said:
kim kim kim,
what is this freedom you speak of? freedom from…?
and party pants: angelina doesn’t know how to run a country because she leads a different lifestyle or “lives in a glass house”. hmm, dubbayah wasn’t exactly born in the ghetto! give me a break.

It’s disappointing to see there are so many rednecks posting. Instead of reading celebrity gossip try watching the news. Or better yet, get off your fat asses and support the war in Iraq by actually GOING THERE.
I love the comment:
People who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.
Anjelina is a clueless bitch, Shameless. Anybody with her reputation and morals should not be speaking. I voted for my president. I believe in him he did DAMN GOOD JOB. Bitch like Angelina WHOREI should go and live outside of our countrey. I travel all the time. I do not know where the hell she comes up with BULL SHIT comments like that.
PSYCHO (WHORIE) GO GET ONOTHER TATOO OR TOUNGE ANOTHER RELATIVE OR MAYBE GO SLEEP WITH SOMEBODY ELSES HUSBAND! This are the very few qualities you are expert in. LEAVE POLITICS ALONE.
putyourmoneywhereyourmouthis:
I agree with a part of what you said. Many people LOVE to talk about the prez and military and so on and so on… I angers me when these same people have excuses for not going to do volunteer work in many of the countries that they say we should be doing so much more for.
Ia can say that since I have spent time volunteering in Africa, served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and donate part of my income to charitites in the U.S. and abroad.
I’m so sick of her. I wish she’d just shut the f**k up and go away
I hate sports players, singers, actors, and other ENTERTAINERS, who exploit their fame by getting into politics. Most of them have very little education, and have fried what brains they have left.

Dear Icequeen.
Your tenacity is commendable. Hopefully all Icelanders are as tenacious as you are. Particularly if you demand the US presence out of your country, and others abroad, you and others are going to need such strength and tenacity to protect yourselves.
If there are EVER two words ubiquitously synonymous with one another they are “Communist Russia”.
Yes, I’m quite aware that after WWII the US and the USSR divied up Europe. That is why Western Europe was rebuilt, democracies & republics flourished and Eastern Europe was left to rot with communism. That is why the standard of living was – and continues to be so much higher in the western countries than in the eastern countries (considered The Soviet East Block”). I know, I’ve been there, I’ve seen with my own eyes the decay and oppression of these “east block countries”; These countries which now, thank heavens, are catching up with the rest of Europe, but for decades were generations behind. Some STILL are generations behind. I’ve been to the other side of the wall, while it stood, I’ve seen for myself; and I”ll tell you what, it’ wasn’t a pretty sight.
Now tell me. If the spoils of war line had been drawn further to the west than it was to the east, can you STILL argue that “Western Europe was never under threat of communism”? If the USSR, a legendary communist state, had received all of Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, etc., in this division of the spoils of war, instead of the USA, can you STILL argue that there was never a threat of communism in Western Europe? Western Europe was lucky the line was drawn where it was drawn and the USSR was not responsible for them. I believe you made the point for me, thank you very much.
With all due respect, don’t shout “STUDY HISTORY” to me, until you have it all memorized and understood yourself.
On June 12, 1987, A very great man said: “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall”. November 9 thru 11, 1987 that wall finally came down. Yes, Gorbachev allowed it. Perhaps THAT was finally the end of the VERY REAL THREAT OF COMMUNISM in Europe, to the East – AS WELL AS TO THE WEST!.
“In the 1950s, Khrushchev predicted: ‘We will bury you.’ But in the West today, we see a free world that has achieved a level of prosperity and well-being unprecedented in all human history. In the Communist world, we see failure, technological backwardness, declining standards of health, even want of the most basic kind–too little food. Even today, the Soviet Union still cannot feed itself. After these four decades, then, there stands before the entire world one great and inescapable conclusion: Freedom leads to prosperity. Freedom replaces the ancient hatreds among the nations with comity and peace. Freedom is the victor.”
“We welcome change and openness; for we believe that freedom and security go together, that the advance of human liberty can only strengthen the cause of world peace.”.
“General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization: Come here to this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!’” Ronald Reagan
Who cares if people in other countries don’t understand why our President was elected– it’s our elections, and it’s not up to them now, is it? I don’t understand why people in Nicaragua voted in a Sandinista leader, or why Venezuela elected Hugo Chavez, but that’s up to them, isn’t it?
EUROPE – THY NAME IS COWARDICE (Commentary by Mathias Dapfner CEO, Axel Springer, AG)
A few days ago Henry Broder wrote in Welt am Sonntag, “Europe – your family name is appeasement.” It’s a phrase you can’t get out of your head because it’s so terribly true.
Appeasement cost millions of Jews and non-Jews their lives as England and France, allies at the time, negotiated and hesitated too long before they noticed that Hitler had to be fought, not bound to toothless agreements.
Appeasement legitimized and stabilized Communism in the Soviet Union, then East Germany, then all the rest of Eastern Europe where for decades, inhuman, suppressive, murderous governments were glorified as the ideologically correct alternative to all other possibilities.
Appeasement crippled Europe when genocide ran rampant in Kosovo, and even though we had absolute proof of ongoing mass-murder, we Europeans debated and debated and debated, and were still debating when finally the Americans had to come from halfway around the world, into Europe yet again, and do our work for us.
Rather than protecting democracy in the Middle East, European appeasement, camouflaged behind the fuzzy word “equidistance,” now countenances suicide bombings in Israel by fundamentalist Palestinians.
Appeasement generates a mentality that allows Europe to ignore nearly 500,000 victims of Saddam’s torture and murder machinery and, motivated by the self-righteousness of the peace-movement, has the gall to issue bad grades to George Bush… Even as it is uncovered that the loudest critics of the American action in Iraq made illicit billions, no, TENS of billions, in the corrupt U.N. Oil-for-Food program.
And now we are faced with a particularly grotesque form of appeasement… How is Germany reacting to the escalating violence by Islamic fundamentalists in Holland and elsewhere? By suggesting that we really should have a “Muslim Holiday” in Germany.
I wish I were joking, but I am not. A substantial fraction of our (German) Government, and if the polls are to be believed, the German people, actually believe that creating an Official State “Muslim Holiday” will somehow spare us from the wrath of the fanatical Islamists.
One cannot help but recall Britain’s Neville Chamberlain waving the laughable treaty signed by Adolf Hitler, and declaring European “Peace in our time”.
What else has to happen before the European public and its political leadership get it? There is a sort of crusade underway, an especially perfidious crusade consisting of systematic attacks by fanatic Muslims, focused on civilians, directed against our free, open Western societies, and intent upon Western Civilization’s utter destruction.
It is a conflict that will most likely last longer than any of the great military conflicts of the last century – a conflict conducted by an enemy that cannot be tamed by “tolerance” and “accommodation” but is actually spurred on by such gestures, which have proven to be, and will always be taken by the Islamists for signs of weakness.
Only two recent American Presidents had the courage needed for anti-appeasement: Reagan and Bush.
His American critics may quibble over the details, but we Europeans know the truth. We saw it first hand: Ronald Reagan ended the Cold War, freeing half of the German people from nearly 50 years of terror and virtual slavery. And Bush, supported only by the Social Democrat Blair, acting on moral conviction, recognized the danger in the Islamic War against democracy. His place in history will have to be evaluated after a number of years have passed.
In the meantime, Europe sits back with charismatic self-confidence in the multicultural corner, instead of defending liberal society’s values and being an attractive center of power on the same playing field as the true great powers, America and China.
On the contrary – we Europeans present ourselves, in contrast to those “arrogant Americans”, as the World Champions of “tolerance”, which even (Germany’s Interior Minister) Otto Schily justifiably criticizes. Why? Because we’re so moral? I fear it’s more because we’re so materialistic, so devoid of a moral compass.
For his policies, Bush risks the fall of the dollar, huge amounts of additional national debt, and a massive and persistent burden on the American economy – because unlike almost all of Europe, Bush realizes what is at stake – literally everything.
While we criticize the “capitalistic robber barons” of America because they seem too sure of their priorities, we timidly defend our Social Welfare systems. Stay out of it! It could get expensive! We’d rather discuss reducing our 35-hour workweek or our dental coverage, or our 4 weeks of paid vacation… Or listen to TV pastors preach about the need to “reach out to terrorists. To understand and forgive”.
These days, Europe reminds me of an old woman who, with shaking hands, frantically hides her last pieces of jewelry when she notices a robber breaking into a neighbor’s house.
Appeasement? Europe, thy name is Cowardice.
