The man who prescribed methadone for Anna while she was eight months pregnant seemed like he was pretty determined that she remain a satisfied customer because he also filled prescriptions for methadone for Anna under various aliases. TMZ reports:
TMZ obtained documents which show that on August 25, 2006, just 13 days before Smith gave birth, Dr. Kapoor wrote a prescription for methadone. The prescription, RX#2846735, was written for Michelle Chase. TMZ has learned that Michelle Chase was an alias Anna Nicole used. Under California law, it’s illegal to prescribe a controlled substance to a false name.
However, to avoid any moral conflict, Kapoor has already had his scruples surgically removed.

As I recall from the Rush Limbaugh fiasco with his Viagra is that in certain situations, physicians can prescribe medicines in fictitious names to protect the identify of persons. It’s not unusual for pregnant women to take methadone during pregnancy as withdrawal during pregnancy can cause fetal distress during the infant’s withdrawal and result in premature labor and fetal death. Neonatal physicians will often advise women to stay on methadone and get regular monitoring during pregancy rather than to go through withdrawal.
Methadone is a prescribed treatment to help people with opioid addiction (Oxycontin to heroin). Buprenorphine is another medication to use for detox, but methadone is the preferred choice to use in pregnant patients.
Why can’t you people just leave the woman alone!!!! She lived her life differently to most of us but she lived her life to the full and now she deserves to rest in peace.
