Real-life couple Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin first met and fell in love on the set of the set of their HBO series, True Blood. But they didn’t draw first blood-for real, that is–until they stepped off the set and into the ring.

Moyer says that a childhood pastime of his was boxing, a sport that he introduced to his girlfriend. Moyer described Paquin as “hardcore,” explaining that she took to boxing like a duck to water.

Stephen says in an interview, “I like the sport and she likes the blood. I’m like, ‘Stop the fight, people are getting hurt, I can’t bear it!’ and she’s going, ‘Go on, hit ‘em!’ She loves it. She boxes too.” That’s so very Sookie Stackhouse of her.
