Even though he didn’t deliver a show-stopping performance like he did at last year’s VMAs when he blew Justin Timberlake away, Chris Brown was triumphant this year, picking up a Moon Man at the 2008 Video Music Awards for best male video for his song “With You.”
In addition, Brown’s girlfriend Rihanna sang a song of his when she and her zombie dancers took to the stage for “Disturbia.” Basically, Chris has been keeping busy writing songs. And now that he has a bubble gum jingle paying the rent, he’s got his eye on providing the back-in-business Britney Spears with some new songs.
Brown told press that he had written some songs for her, but that she had yet to hear them. “We’re on the same label, so all the executives heard the records and they love the records, so hopefully she’ll cut it.” Meanwhile, all I keep thinking is how Rihanna needs to lock this shit down. Chris is a catch, goofy red pants and all.
