    The design of Aretha Franklin’s hat at the Inaugural yesterday was bold and beautiful – as is Aretha herself! The proportion was appropriate on several counts; e.g., * her personal size for many years now, * her position on an outdoor stage where she and her silhouette could be recognized by a notable number of the multitude in attendance, and * her significant star power sedately styled in a simple, elegant, single color spiffed up only by the size and sparkle of the front bow on her hat which was utterly becoming to her while keeping the focus on her face, so appropriate to a singer . . .
