Ashlee Simpson and husband Pete Wentz announced the birth of their son Thursday night.
Ashlee went into labor late Thursday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and gave birth to Bronx Mowgli Wentz, weighing in at 7 lbs., 11 oz., and 20 1/2 inches long.
The name was apparently inspired by The Jungle Book, as well as a desire to toughen the boy up by forcing him to endure an endless string of classroom beatings.
“Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!” a spokesperson said.

question – are these people who give their children these “unique” names aware these poor children are tagged with these monikers for life unless they legally change them?
