The CW, which is already the home of the Beverly Hills 90210 remake, will also be where the reincarnated version of Melrose Place will be living. As for the tenants, EW‘s Michael Ausielo is reporting that Ashlee Simpson will be moving in.
The recent CSI: NY guest star and former star of 7th Heaven will be playing the character of Violet, a small-town girl who move to the big city, whose wide-eyed charm conceals her more sinister intentions. Oh yeah, Sydney’s back, red hair and all. Also, Mischa Barton‘s still a casting possibility at this point.
As for the most important question of whether or not Heather Locklear has designs on reprising her role, according to a tipster, “It’s looking good.” That, of course, is awesome. Now, would someone please be a dear and give Lisa Rinna a call before she shows up on set with a sandwich board on her body that reads, “Will Work For Attention.”

Uh, she was never close to “the star” of Seventh Heaven. Try maybe 78th billed at best. A guest who wouldn’t leave.
