The first winners of Socialite Life’s BS Awards for this year, the infamous Heene family, are ending kicking off the holiday season with a visit to court. Ha! They’re certainly giving the Lohan family a run for their money.

The publicity-loving couple consisting of Richard and Mayumi Heene attended a sentencing hearing at the Larimer County Justice Center in Fort Collins, Colorado for misleading authorities into thinking that their son, Falcon Heene, had floated into the air in a homemade weather balloon.

Both parents looked appropriately embarrassed as they left court after being sentenced to 20 days of supervised public service as well as a four-year probation. In addition, they will pay fines and restitution, the amount of which will be determined at a later hearing.

Ha! Somebody’s getting coal in their stocking this year.
