Balloon Boy’s Mom Mayumi Heene Cracks, Admits To Hoax

October 24th, 2009 // 5 Comments

The mother of Balloon Boy, once feared missing inside a runaway helium balloon apparently, admitted the whole drama was a hoax.

Court papers released show Mayumi Heene told police she and her husband knew all along that Falcon was hiding at home.

Heene told Sheriff’s Investigator Robert Heffernan that she and the wishful-thinking Richard Henne had lied to authorities Oct. 15, the day you couldn’t turn on the TV without seeing a homemade silver weather balloon run amok.

What she said next, is a reminder of what bad parenting is.

Heene said that “she and Richard had instructed their three children to lie to authorities as well as the media regarding this hoax.”

The Sheriff in Larimer County, Colorado, has already suggested the couple should face criminal charges.

First things first: Make sure the Heene children are not in any danger of their father going off on them either physically or emotionally.

Secondly, I agree with the previous commenter, throw the book at them.

    And lastly,
    BAN ALL REALITY SHOWS!
