Barbra Streisand, who has supported the campaigns of both President Clinton and Senator Hillary Clinton in the past, has now donated the maximum amount allowed to three Democratic candidates for the upcoming presidential election. Babs released a statement via her publicist, Dick Guttman, in response to her donations.

“Because I want to see the front-runners have the financial backing they need to be competitive during this process, I’ve decided to make the maximum allowable primary donation to Hillary Clinton, John Edwards and Barack Obama,” Streisand said in the statement, adding, “As the conversation continues, I may make contributions to other candidates as well.”

Ah, voting. The only reason I consistently end up with jury duty.
