Frodo is sucking me into his sapphire eyes. He and Jonathan Rhy Meyers should have a freaky eye-off. It will be like the end of the last Harry Potter flick, except with deadly eye beams and pouty looks. Here’s some pics from the “Be Kind Rewind” premiere. I saw trailer for this flick, and it cheered me up. It looked really funny, and I have a limit on how much Jack Black I can take. It’s by Michel Gondry, who has done films like “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” and various hot rock videos. Jack and Mos Def play video store clerks who have to re-make all the videos in their store after Jack accidentally erases them. The scenes showing them remaking various movies cracked my cynical ass up. Not everyone was as amused however. One review was kinda so-so about Gondry’s flick. The CBC says that the film is “ideas without much context, cohesion or momentum”. Well, lah dee dah!
