Beauty Buzz: Side Ponytail Making A Comeback???!!

February 6th, 2007 // 3 Comments

So I am working on about eight hours of sleep for the past 48 hours. I have been on a four day bender with drinking, eating, more drinking – basically partying in the best city in the world and home of the SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS – Indianapolis Colts!!! It’s truly a beautiful sight to be a part of this massive celebration, but I digress – I am going to tell you about a hot trend that w as spotted at Fashion Week – the side ponytail! Could it be making a comeback?

A few designers jazzed up fashion week with hair held high and to the left or the right. Ponytails have been extremely fashionable lately from low and leek to the up and classic look. The bold ones like the ones displayed at Fashion Week are the ones that caught our eyes.

Slightly crimped, frizzy ponytails to the side, provoking eighties flashbacks were showcased at the Grey Ant show. Sass and Bide added some berets and ribbons to their sky high ponytails! Model Lydia Hearst beautiful red hair was softly curled and pinned at top her head at the ThreeAsFour runway show. Now while these styles will definitely keep the hair out of your face – they must be worn at some point with short shorts, knee high rainbow socks and roller skates. Oh and you have to have the attitude! My best guess is that we will see not see the side ponytail as a comeback, but stranger things have happened.
