Behind The Scenes Of ‘Burlesque’

February 5th, 2010 // 1 Comment

As if I wasn’t happy enough that it’s Friday, Entertainment Tonight gifted us with the first look at Burlesque. The sneak peak shows snippets of the film’s performance scenes and interviews with Cher, a brunette Kristen Bell, a redheaded Julianne Hough, a joking Stanely Tucci and Christina Aguilera still in her character’s initially understated look.

Aguilera gives a shout out the show biz legend Cher (“Can I tell you I love her, I love Cher!”), while Cher, who plays burlesque owner Tess, laments the difficulties of working with the red hot cast of young ladies.

“It’s a hard job, you get up at 5 o’clock in the morning and you try to look good and these girls are like one third my age, you know, and that’s rough.” But the lady still has fire. When Mark Steines asks Tucci if Cher is difficult, The Lovely Bones actor jokingly insinuates that she is and Cher declares she’s easy and tries to plant one on him to prove it. Watch the behind the scenes video after the jump.

The scenes remind me a lot of Aguilera, Pink, Mya, and Lil’ Kim’s “Lady Marmalade” video and performance (which I just put on loop to get me through the rest of the day) so hopefully this film swings more Moulin Rouge than Show Girls. With Oscar winner Cher, a newly Oscar nominated Tucci, and other intriguing casting decisions including Eric Dane I think it will okay, and I’m looking forward to the November 24, 2010 release.

Here’s some new shots of Twilight’s Cam Gigandet, who plays Aguilera’s motorcycle riding love interest on set yesterday.
