Funnyperson and friend of the developmentally disabled Ben Stiller participated in the Project ALS 11th Annual Gala at the Waldorf Astoria last night. It was a benefit for research into amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a degenerative neurological disease.
Ben staged a one night only fake talk show which he hosted, complete with band. Chris Rock and Jon Stewart appeared as guests, and Daily Show writer Ed Helms and Sarah Jessica Parker‘s brother Pippin supplied jokes. PIPPIN? PIPPIN PARKER? Isn’t that a musical? Pippin? Damn!
“It will have a format and band,” Stiller said before the event. “Just hopefully be a
lot of fun and ridiculous. Everyone knows why they’re there — we don’t
need to pound them over the head with the heaviness of the disease.”
PIPPIN? What the eff is wrong with her parents. That dude must have permanent shoe-prints on his ass.

Ben Stiller just annoys me. Even photos of his stupid looking mug annoy me. He’s just made one too many of his ‘comedies’ where he plays the drippy misunderstood man who gets the gorgeous girl after tons of mishaps. He’s got a weird little body too. His arms reach his knees (standing up).
