This is rough. Comedian Bernie Mac passed away in a Chicago hospital due to pneumonia. People still die from that? Damn.
He was only 50!
“[He] passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a
Chicago area hospital,” his rep said in a statement. “No other
details are available at this time. We ask that his family’s privacy
continues to be respected.”
Mac went into the hospital on Aug.1 with the illness, but was expected to recover.
He was a funny guy and he’ll be missed. Ouch.

This is very sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
It’s easy to forget how serious pneumonia can be. It still claims lots of lives every year.
We won’t forget Bernie’s beautiful smile, will we?

it is crazy that he died from what seems like such a common disease these days. maybe this will show others that its always important to keep your health up and theres never a silly reason for going to the doctor—he did have a previously diagnoses lung condition however

When i first heard of bernie’s passing i couldn’t belive it i thought the announcer must have made a mistake but he didn’t.Bernie mac was a great entertainer and GOD decided that his job was done he had made us laugh over the years it was time for him to go home.i will continue 2 pray 4 the family just remember he is in a better place now where no more pain and heartache can hurt him any longer.

Es muy triste esta noticia. aun tengo grabada en casa la película donde Bernie Mac presenta al padre de Zoe Zaldano. Uno de los hombres más cómicos y simpáticos que haya visto en televisión… y ya se ha ido. Mi más sentido pésame para su familia en estos momentos tan tristes. Y para Bernie: Rest in peace!!!!!!.

I will never forget the Mac Man!! my kids and I walk around the house all the time saying “Ah Lord” like Bernie says it; it cracks us up. Man I going to miss him. God bless you Bernie Mac.

It was saturday night when I wake up at 4:30 in the morning I had a dream I was dreamimg with a celebrity wich I didn’t even like he was telling me that he has problems breathing and I grab his hand and told him that everyhing is going to be ok. and I fall sleep again then I woke up later on the same morning my son told me that my favorite comedian Bernie Mac has died and I was in shocked I didn’t believe my son but was true he pass away. I don’t know why I dreamed that I never knew that he had lungs problems. He is with God Now I’m positive.

Like everyone that heard of Bernie’s passing, it was in disbelief. He was a natural at what he did, and there isn’t that many people around like that. Not only did Bernie make me laugh, but by his passing so young I’m going to the make an appointment to see my Dr. Your body tells you that something could be wrong & you should get it checked out, but being 7 yrs. younger than Bernie, you think “I’m too young” plus I’m afaraid to find out the results. So because of Bernie’s passing, I’m going to see what’s wrong. Who knows maybe because of Mr.Bernie Mac, he could save my life by his untimely death. We’ll miss you Bernie Mac!!!!

Oh No!! I just got back from vacation and was greeted with the sad news of the death of one of america’s favorite loveable comedian.. That was truly heart breaking.. Well he is home with his master , surely entertaining him , if bernie have his way.. He will be missed tremendously…
