Even Beyonce Knowles needs a day off.
The singer took a day off from her busy tour schedule this past Thursday (July 11, 2013) to spend time with friends and family, including daughter Blue Ivy, by the pool in Miami Beach, Florida.
This past weekend Beyonce posted a slew of pics with Blue Ivy on her Tumblr page, showing herself and her daughter spending time together on the beach.
The singer paid a touching tribute to Trayvon Martin, by honoring the teenager with a moment of silence during her concert in Nashville this past weekend.
Merely hours after George Zimmerman was found not guilty by a Florida jury, the singer addressed the audience by saying: “I’d like to have a moment of silence for Trayvon,” as the stage darkened.
Beyonce is then reported to have then sung the chorus of Whitney Houston‘s I Will Always Love You, before following up with her own ballad Halo. Watch the touching performance above.
Zimmerman had been charged with second-degree murder for fatally shooting the teen in February 2012. He was acquitted just before 10 p.m. EST on Saturday.
