MTV is reporting on an interview that Beyonce gave Essence in which the hamhocked beauty finally admits that she is indeed Mrs. Jay-Z.

It turns out that Beyonce is ultra-private because she’s overly impressed with her pop-culture status. Seriously, she feels that she’s up there with private people like Prince and Michael Jackson (?!?). She says that Mr. and Mrs. Hova plot every detail together on what to tell the press.

Beyaki says her day was small and intimate because she’s so damn unselfish. She says that she’s had enough red carpets and premieres that “it’s been my day so many days already.” She didn’t even want an engagement ring.

“People put too much emphasis on that. It’s just material, and it’s just silly to me,” she said.

Well, there ya have it. She’s a married woman. And she’s finally talking about it. Right around the time that her new single is coming out. She should really be heading up our efforts in Iraq.
