Beyonce made a quick appearance at the Glamorama event in Chicago this past Friday. The singer, her sister Solange, and mother Tina we’re all in attendance at the event which cost $1,000 a person to attend.

Getting an unobstructed sight of the mother/daughter design team was impossible because of the handlers and the crowd.

The group breezed onto Macy’s on State Street’s eighth floor via a private entrance, struck poses for photographers, shook hands like politicians, and beamed dynamite smiles. They greeted former Destiny’s Child songbird and friend Michelle Williams, as well as guests Linda Johnson Rice and her daughter, Alexa. Then before we knew it, they were gone!

“It felt like New York,” said Juanita Jordan, about the frenzy.

The event raised more than $375,000 for the Art Institute of Chicago’s Auxiliary Board and Evening Associates. I’d say that was some worthwhile face time.
